Microsoft Band 1 - GPS Issue?

Hi,

I use Band 1 and normally use the Run functionality to track my daily runs. I go to an outdoor track for my runs and generally start GPS when I start running. This works most of the time.

Yesterday, I just could not get GPS lock on. I started my run while waiting for GPS to lock on - normally this takes 30sec-1min to lock. This time, it did not. So after 3-4 minutes, I stopped the run, synced my Health App to the band, and started run again. Still it did not lock on after 5 minutes.

I restarted the band and synced with phone again. Still did not get lock on in the next 20 minutes.

Today I got a lock on instantly. I am not sure what had gone wrong yesterday? Anyone have any idea why this could have have happened?

I am using Lumia 640 - with Win 10 M latest build.

Was it a nice sunny day? I've found in my years of running that GPS is much more likely to not work as well on a bright, sunny day than a cloudy one. It makes no sense, but that's been my experience.
