How can I reduce the System & Reserved spaces?

I find that System & reserved are using quite a lot of disk space on my 640XL. Are there any solutions to reduce the space taken up by the system? Could it be due to the system temp files generated over the months?

That will mean require installing of all apps and setting up again? Is too extreme for it. Any other better ways?? Do you think it contains lots of rubbish files after using for some time just like on the windows desktop OS???

yes. you could try soft reset. volume down+lock . no system and reserve has all the important files necessary for the OS. whatever that is not needed is in others storage.

Thanks. I need to hold it down for more than 10secs. But it is still not reducing the system storage space..... sad.
