After upgrading to windows 10 I can't see my messages

When I click on Messaging it says: "Can't open Messaging. Before we can open the Messaging app, you'll need to go to Settings > Privacy >Contacts and turn on Messaging."
And I tried to do that, but it won't work. everything that is supposed to use Contacts is off and I can't turn them on. I don't know if it's ok to post it in here, but I don't know what to do.
Thanks!

Try updating the messaging app in the store - it's listed as microsoft messaging or messaging + skype.
