does windows phone app for osx need an update to work on 950?

it's the way i synch my music (itunes) from my mac to my old windows phones - 920, 1020, 930. but windows phone app on osx (from microsoft) does not recognize my 950 on windows 10...

uh, if you are on el capitan, then yes, it needs an update, and who knows when it's coming. The mac will "see" your phone, but you cannot do anything, either natively in OSX or in a virtual machine running Windows.
