surface book is not flat

I looked carefully and noticed that the clipboard part is not absolutely flat. the left and right edges are a little bit bent toward the keyboard. the keyboard part is absolutely flat. anyone noticed that too? or just a situation of mine?

(how to notice it: method 1, place a ruler on the clipboard part; method 2, look with your one eye closed at an angle nearly parallel to the left or right edge of clipboard part, as shown in the picture)

I think that's how it is, if you look at the hinge, it doesn't fold flat like a typical laptop.

I know there is a gap near the hinge when the book is closed. I am not referring this. what I tried to say is the left and right edges of the clipboard are not straight lines. they are a little bit curved....
