I just got a surface 3 and have an app question.

I love this thing, i have tried to get away from apple and android on tablets for a while now. This surface doesn't disappoint. I got the 4g version with a keyboard and a pen.
Anyway, I signed into MS with my Outlook email addy when i set up my surface. When i try and download an app like amazon, it asks me for my MS email addy. My amazon account is on my gmail account and can't go any further. Why is this locked into my MS email addy and i can't login to an app without my MS email addy? How do i fix this?

You use our Microsoft account ID to download apps from the store. Once the app is downloaded, like Amazon, then you use your apps ID.

Expanding on tbsteph's answer, your outlook.com (MS) account is used to login to your Surface and the Store to download apps. Once the Amazon app is downloaded and on your system, when you open the app you'll login to the app with your Amazon username and password (your Gmail address).
