Delete the Surface app on your device, then do all updates, reboot. Download the Surface app. You should see the pen customization setting now.

Surface app. However, for some, including myself, the pen settings don't work. Meta data error message. Suggested fix does not, uh, fix. Tried several other "fixes" with no relief. Anyway, good luck. Hope the app works for you.

I don't even see the customizing settings in the surface app. I tried the un install/re install method with no luck. Maybe a service chat to MS to see if they have any ideas.

Perhaps a chat session might prove fruitful. What I suggested above I used on my S3, and it worked fine. Strange one thing will work with some and not all.

I have also read that doing a removal and re install of the pen drivers works as well. I never could get my onenote button to work, however, I did not know that you had to pair via Bluetooth. ha ha. duh! Works great now, I think palm block works better too when paired.
