Hello,

I use OneNote 2016 instead of the regular OneNote.
When I take a screenshot with my Pen of the Surface Pro 4 I want to use OneNote 2016 and not the "regular" one.

Is this possible? It's not possible with the "Surface" application.

Many thanks,

Will

Is there anything actually better about OneNote 2016 vs. 2013?

I usually use 2013 over the app, since there are some features missing (e.g. handwriting recognition) in the app.

As for how to do it, just open the "Surface" app that comes installed on the SP4. After one of the recent updates, there was an added tab in the app that lets you select which app the eraser button opens.

I don't believe there's much, updated UI --- the title & ribbon head is solid purple now. It's free, so why not upgrade? LOL I use both OneNote 2016 & the OneNote app (featureless, but it's just way more touch friendly).

This is all I could find and there doesn't seem to be any real new features which are dependent upon OneNote 2016....

The new mobile version of OneNote stinks compared to OneNote MX. The dial that use to pop up was more intuitive for touch and using the pen. And what the heck happened to document scanning and text capture within the tablet app? They keep changing and removing features so often that I'm starting to not want to use the software at all. As soon as you learn to use a feature and like it, they remove it.
