panos mentions

75% of the first gen sfrpro

power cover is 2.5 hours more batt life from sfrpro.

this adds up to about 12-14hrs?

Im guessing the first gen pro averaged to 6-7 hrs?

The first generation was about 4 to 5 hours. That's what mostly kept me from getting it. The new one should have around or at least 10 which is perfect. I'm definitely getting one.

Yeah, the 1st gen Pro is about 4-5 hours, so many people estimate that the new one would be about 7-9. That being said, add in the Power cover and you're looking at, worst case scenario ( just based off the numbers, of course) 9.5 hours and at best, about 11.5.

I own a Pro and I get 6-7 hours of use. Get me through two of my college classes (3 hours each) and lunch (30 minutes) with about 10% left when I get home.

so are we talking about 9-10 hrs? I am still debating because battery is very important for someone who practically lives in college campus. Then again Icould still plug it in school.

In MS store, the battery life with type cover for pro 2 is 4:48. This is for a unit on display, which has screen brightness set to highest with video looping when not being used.

Again, it's believed to Pro 2 will get about 7-9 hours alone, about 10-12 hours if you add in the Power Cover. We of course can't know for sure until it's publically available to the market for battery testing, however.
