Bought my SP4 i5 4gb 3 weeks ago and I love it. Am I the only person who has had zero issues?

I know the forum is going to make things look like everyone has a problem because people don't usually post to say "Everything's going great," but I was hoping to find some posts about cool things people have done with their surface, these are the best settings for battery, performance, etc.

Anyone else loving pretty much everything about their sp4 or is it just me?

Zero major issues here, especially after the update for the OS. At first I was getting a lot of application crashes, but I haven't had one since the update. I do have some small issues with it, like there's some bugginess with the pen sensitivity, especially in Photoshop. But nothing crazy like some people. So far it has 100% replaced everything I used to do on my iPad, and added more possibilities by an order of magnitude.

I didn't even buy a type cover for it, I've been using it solely as a tablet, and I've had no issues using it, or with how the OS handles being a tablet only. It works fantastic, IMO.

I am so far with you on this. I am not easy to please in fact I am rather demanding. Only last night i returned my MS Lumia 640XL for a refund as no way could the favorite's on my Windows lap top be imported. Crazy situation as both my Android and IOS had zero problems syncing with my PC? I digress.
I find the MS Surface pro 4 to be so versatile, well engineered and specified, hope I don't jinx myself.:winktongue:

BTW Today received a near two hour update to the system. No idea what that was? Took ages to download.

That was the update to give you the features of display driver crash and over heating :winktongue:.

OK, just kidding, I'm also mostly error free (i5/8/256) apart from some issues waking up the tablet and 1-2 driver crashing. I was upgrading from SP2 (and I had an SP1prior to that) so for me the SP4 is so far the best experience in terms of out of the box functionality. My main complaint is that the SP4 charger is not sold separately yet (at least not here) so I can't have a charger home and one at work.

I hear you about the charger. You could get the dock albeit s more expensive option, it also gives you the ability to utilize some pretty cool peripherals.

The only issue I see on a daily basis right now in the reliability history is a "Windows Default Lock Screen" event, "Stopped responding and was closed". And there was a one issue where as the device went into sleep, it rebooted. That concerns me, but it's only happened once.

I have i5/8/256 and have no major problems yet.
Two hangups when i tried to save my work in ArtRage4, but that was before the update.
The fan is so quiet that i need to lift the SP4 up and hold it to my ear to hear it.
And the speed is amazing.
I am so happy i bought the i5 and not the m3.

For those of you who aren't having any problems -- might I ask if your standby time is good while asleep? I don't have any issues with the actual performance of the device, and battery life is good - except for in standby. But if I close the type cover and throw it in my bag, and when I open it up again a few hours later, it's 8-10% less! :'(

I have 2 SP4s, one completely stock with nothing on it except for the MS updates, and the other as my daily driver. Both have the same drain. So it's not app related, it's OS or Driver related.

Same here. Other than the drain, the device performs fine - within my expectations. I added hibernate to the power options, so if I know I'm going to be gone for a while, I just put the thing into hibernate, rather than having it go to sleep and then hibernate.

The only time I notice what I would consider fast battery drain is when I am running max performance profile while playing a game. But that's with the graphics unlock that I posted about at the top of this thread.

Terrible battery life when using the stock balanced power plan is the only issue I've ever had with my SP4. I really wish they would have left the battery size alone on the SP4... or even made it bigger. Not smaller.

I don't use sleep though, never have with any of my mobile PC's, so I don't know how my SP4 performs with that.

I haven't had any problems so far. I5/4gb. My only gripe is while the tablet heats up in one note sometimes with writing I get squiggly lines within my letters and it only happens every so often. All in all very good experience of it were not for my ocd.
