Hello setup failure

I have a SP4 i7 and unable to setup Hello. The option is available; however when I click the setup button the setup dialog box appears briefly then disappears.

Has anyone else had this problem and discovered a solution?

First, Windows 10 needs to be updated for the Hello to work. You can't set it up out of box.

Once it's all updated, you then need to set the PIN first. You can't set Hello until you establish a PIN.

All updates are current , and I've been using the PIN for log in since I setup the device a month ago. That's unfortunately not it.
