My desk has a back shelf where I keep my monitor and an inbox/outbox, but my Surface Docking Station is on the actual desk part, underneath the monitor (if that makes sense). What I'd like is a solution that will let me stand the Dock on the back shelf to the left/right of my monitor and angle it enough so it matches the angle of my monitor because the slanted angle of the dock doesn't work well unless it's on the main desktop, which takes up space if I need room on the desk to spread out, as it were.
I know other people have used stands to do something similar. Are there any recommendations?
N.B. The monitor angle can be adjusted, thankfully, and is currently set at ~90 degrees. My end goal is to have a similar arrangement with the Surface Pro when it's docked.
