Delete app data

my 3 votes.. that makes 4 now..
but i dont think MS will even consider this right now.. they have to add a lotta basic features.. tweaking is for developed operating systems not for developing os.

This is much needed feature..
I am avid twitter user. When I installed the app. it was mere 10Mb but now its size has increased to 150Mb... What option do I have to remove this app data...I do not want to uninstall and install it back again

I agree, and will vote :)

I'm using a lumia 820, i had 1.2gb storage available i tried installing a game of 202mb i know once installed the data consumes alot more, i cancelled the installation as didn't want the game any more, since then it has taken 600mb of data, i have tried clearing temp files using the storage cleaner app but still cant regain that data, any other solutions would be welcome.

Cmon guys lets vote for this. MS implemented all the top ideas in WP8.1. Now we can see very few genuine requests in user forum. Lets vote for this. I guess its much needed.

The issue I'm seeing here is that the OS can't decide which data is crucial for an app, and which is just for caching purposes. This all depends on how exactly an app is written. Many apps I use have an option to clear cached data, which I consider mandatory for all apps that retrieve data from the internet and store it. I'd prefer seeing developers implement this feature in their apps rather than Microsoft providing something that will most likely not work efficiently in many cases.

That should be the ideal way but unfortunately this doesn't happen. Android gives the option to delete the app data.

The fact aside that you can't directly compare Android to WP or iOS because of their entirely open approach, WP also offers you the option to clear cached (temporary) files. As I've seen some app installation sizes slightly decrease after clearing temporary files, I assume WP only removes those which are without any doubt temporary and no longer needed. Which is why I say that devs need to implement such feature in their apps directly instead of relying on the OS.
