I had my friend (has great ties in an AT&T Store) spend the night over my new apartment to get some things straightened and he gladly uses his Lumia 1020 that he's had from 2 days prior. We took alot if test shots, used it openly with apps, basic function etc. and I can honestly say that its a great successor, but only feels like half an upgrade from my unlocked 920.
920 -> 1020
is equal to
iP5 -> iP5S
The camera is the best on a smartphone no doubt, but is still slightly overrated on auto settings. This is a niche device but still for the average consumer should be slightly improved for auto shot. The screen is amazing, and so is the color tuner. He had Glance on and we still got over a 12 hour charge. The OS itself was still silky smooth, but still felt a little smoother (not sure OS or 2GB RAM) pretty impressed but still expected more.
