How did they fixed? Did they changed only the xenon flash?

I'm not sure, they didn't say. But it is the same handset, so I'm assuming so.

My L1020 still not ready, they asked me to wait more ... but i refused, so i got my money back.

sad to hear that. why not get a Lumia 1520 its the latest Lumia phone but with 20mp camera (still a nice one when compared to isheeps and lagdroids camera )

This might be related to my problem.

This is happening to my 2 days old lumia 1020 I cannot turn the focus assist lamp on. I wonder how this can be fixed! I am so stressed now.

Even if the unit is completely off, the light is still on. really weird.

if they swapped components its probably the flash module. I'm considering buy one to try to fix the following issue:

to replace it you virtually take the phone entirely apart. Probably every other part comes out of the phone first, but its not difficult if you want to tackle it yourself.

im facing the same problem with my lumia 1020. i bought the mobile 1 months ago and in the firs two or three weeks it worked great, but suddenly i realised that at night whem i use xenon flash the photo is black and opposite in day. how yousolved this problem?

Dear I have same problem in my 8.1 L1020 -- I don?t know if was after Update, I just know they use flash to focus, but not flash on picture. I put to force use flash, but no flash any time....

I had the same problem on previous 1020. I had to take it back to att and got it exchanged for new one.
