I just bought a brand new 1020 and it will not recognize the sim card from my 920. 1020 is brand new and the sim is recognized on the 920. I have reset the 1020 and it still does not recognize the sim. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

Assuming you're in the US and on AT&T (and inserting the SIM correctly), it may simply be the SIM is going bad or is old. I have no technical solution for you, but SIMs do go flaky from time to time. Probably nothing a trip to the store and getting a new SIM won't fix.
Possibly but it still works in the 920. I'm hitting the ATT store tomorrow any way so ill have them try a new one. I have tried three different ones so I'm not leaning towards bad sim.
Well that sounds more like a bad device. If you got it at the AT&T store, they should be able to do a DOA exchange. Hope you get it up and working. I love my 1020 (and 925, and 1520 and 2520...I need help).
