Lumia 1520 battery problem

I brought my lumia 1520 on 20th May
According to specifications, the battery should last 30 days in standby
but when i keep my phone in standby, and then open ((settings----battery saver)), then it shows remaining time near about 5 days when the battery remaining is 99%
i went to the retailer and they told to drain the batter to 10% remaining and then charge 100% for some days but i dont think it'll work
what should i do?

I dont think its an problem at all

this is very common, you will never get the results specified by the manufacturers
they are done under experimental conditions like, same signal strength all the time, constant brightness, nothing running in back ground etc

this is not going to happen in our real world
what matter to you, try to test yourself with similar usage daily like playing games for 1hr, on call for 1hr like that and check if there is any difference
