Bluetooth headset detection problems

Have any of you experienced problems with the 820 detecting Bluetooth devices? I experienced problems with a SoundID unit and now a Plantronics Voyager. I turn on the unit, get to the Bluetooth area on the phone, wait for it to detect, and nothing. It gets stuck on "Searching..." even though the headset is within inches of the phone. I followed the instructions that came with each headset. Am I missing a step somewhere...?

Yes, just ran the Plantronics one. No joy.
