Lumia 920 Vibration rattle???

So, did your issue with the rattling sound got fixed? What's the outcome? Can you share anything at all? Thanks. I have the same issue and not sure wether to send it for repair.

I also have this problem and returned my phone to Nokia Care for a repair. Got the phone back yesterday with no change whatsoever, even though the rattle is very obvious. Started another thread here about it.

Now in dialogue with Nokia about this problem and I will not rest until the issue is resolved.

Have the phone replaced. The rattle noise should not be normal. I have a white Lumia 920 and it doesn't rattle. Not sure what to tell you.

I don't know how they've done it but since I got the 1308.0020 update my vibrate hasn't made any rattle at all. I think it must have been how the firmware controlled the motor.Anyone else have this?

hmmmm, my firmware version is not the same as yours, mine is 1308.0000. I tried to do the update and it says it has the latest updates. Is there a way to do this? Thanks. I already sent my phone to nokia repair center and replaced the vibrate motor but it didn't do anything.

Fw 1232.5957.1308.00xx ... the last digits is just country / operator varieties ...

I think that the most people overreact with that unique rattling vibration sound - just disable vibration if you do not like it ...

Hi guys,

I have been digging the internet for the vibrate rattle sound issue for Nokia Lumia 920 and it seems the the issue is a common problem. There has been so many threads of forum but no answer or fix. So I decided to send my phone to nokia repair center. The ISSUE still persist even after replacing the motor vibrate inside the phone. The issue is still occurring, it seems that this is a design flaw or just the way the phone has been designed and pretty much nothing can be done. The phone vibrates fine wen pressing the keys but when it receives call the rattling sound is still distinct. Unless someone can provide a video of their phone without the rattling sound while using a vibrate app then I won't be convinced that this is a fault on specific phones. For now, it's a common issue for all Lumia 920 phones, I'd say, we're stuck dealing with it. I guess going for a great phone, comes with a drawback. Either way, I love the phone and everything about it, except the funny vibrate sound it creates when it's vibrating.

What do you guys think.

Yeah, it is a funny vibration sound, an unique one ... I have learned to like it during last 4 months (loving laugh)

I can pretty much say that this is a defect on the phone and it's really hard to get it fix by nokia repair center. As for evidence, a friend of mine bought two of these lumia 920 phones and we compared the vibration on all three phones including mine. I was really shock to find out that mine has the rattling sound while vibrating. Meanwhile his phones doesn't have any rattling sound during vibration and it sounds very solid and good. Also, when I shook his phones, I don't hear any parts lose inside meanwhile I can hear something loose inside my phone when I shake it. I complained to nokia repair center about this and they didn't do any thing with it and just returned the phone back to me. I've been having so much issues with this phone and I'll never come back to Nokia ever again. I'll switch to another phone soon. Sorry nokia, your customer support failed me this time.

There is no defect. What you hear rattling is the OIS for the camera. I suspect that's also what is rattling when the phone vibrates.

There is that but there also is the vibrator rattle.

There is something veeeery interesting. I have been using 920 for two months, and checking all threads forums about this rattling issue, and I observed that, rattling sound, click on top and the sound you shake it, are common. If a phone has one of these defects, it has all of them. I checked two other 920 of my friends, no rattling, no click on top and no sound from inside. Additionally, no it is NOT the sound of OIS. Other phones have a slight noise because of OIS, but these phones have very very much loud noise which is not OIS.

wow I thought it was just my 920
