Hello,

Has anybody tried to see of the Lumia 920 has a better/worse reception than the 900 on AT&T? Or does anybody has an idea about the antennas or chip difference of both devices?

I am asking, because three months ago the reception at my wife's work became really bad basically down to non-existent, my Lumia 920 has the same issue, and she is wondering if a new phone might do the trick.

thanks

I have the same good reception I had with my 900.

On another note, the microphone on the 920 seems to work better, I never have anyone saying they can't hear me clearly now, as I sometimes did on my 900.

Leaving it on my desk I would say it's a little lower than my old iPhone 4 but when you hold it you don't lose as much signal. Sorry, couldn't compare with 900

I have much better reception on my 920 than on my 900, Rogers in Ottawa.

I used to have 1 LTE bar at my desk, I now have 2 :p But this is actually true for everywhere that I go, I never really used to get more than 3 bars of signal - now I sit at 5 most of the time when outside.

+1
I have also noticed reception is a tad behind the iPhone 4. I'm sure future updated basebands will optimize reception.

I think that this is somewhat difficult to compare, indicators on any phone model is not comparable. 900 has dual rx antennas, 920 dosn't. However, antenna design is still top notch on 920, so..

thanks loukkis. Where did you get the information about antenna design from? I was actually trying to find that.
