You can try to argue your personal preference in how a picture should look all you want. I believe it has been established in several threads that you like to throw photography terms around even though you don't fully understand them, so I will just go ahead an ignore that.

I'm just saying that a post-processing algorithm that loses a bunch of information compared to the previous one is not necessarily an improvement. And you shouldn't tell people that pictures are now perfect, just because they match your preference . I think that the algorithm in Denim/Lumia Camera will be an improvement for some. For others it might be a disappointment.

I couldn't agree more. Lumia Denim and Lumia camera is a disaster.
rich capture is a joke.Too much contrast and over saturated colors with burned skies.
Lumia camera is full of bugs...camera is at the peek with Cyan

I think that you should try Lumia Camera Classic. Images have more MB, so less compression, they have better colors and they're not so oversharpened. At least in case with 830.

Is this worthy of a spread on National Geographic? No editing whatsoever except cranking HDR to max. Lumia 930 on Denim.
My co worker, when she saw the pic, praised the photo.

I think that you should try Lumia Camera Classic. Images have more MB, so less compression, they have better colors and they're not so oversharpened. At least in case with 830.

you are right...i tried LC classic ...much better but it doesn't have the features of Lumia camera

I have a ton of pics i took from different angles, and weather conditions of the LV strip. Just havent figured out how to upload them from the phone browser(off topic: biggest handicap imo on this otherwise awesome device). Will upload them once I get behind a PC.

Question though: Did anyone figure out a way of extracting or copying a portion of the 3 or so second video Lumia Camera records b4 taking the actual shot? I have a few pics where the second b4 is pretty good but the actual saved shot in the gallery is not so good lol

You can upload them through tapatalk app. It's quite easy.

Took some photos at home, in sunny South Africa, and am really impressed with how denim deals with harsh lighting!

Love the camera now, used to avoid the camera due to how long it took to take a photo.

Will post as soon as I figure out how to ;-)

It shows that with the same setting, 930 produce brighter images than those of 1020.
IMO, with 930 we may get same image quality as 1020 if ISO is reduced to 100 instead of 200

you can notice a difference in details when zooming at 100%, but when resized (like for web) the difference is pretty negligible
Very good performance by 930 .

Anyone here know how to overcome the phenomenon of violet-stained photos occurred with 930's camera? Most of photos taken with it are stained with violet, instead of yellow as in 1020
