    1. Lumia Beamer
Requires TV to have a web browser

Easy, but has lag, no audio.

    2. Miracast
Settings > project my screen may be helpful, but I don't know how to connect exactly.
TV must have Miracast or a Miracast-dongle like this fancy accessory. Microsoft Screen Sharing for Lumia Phones Overview - Microsoft - Global
(MS does have a more spartan dongle)

those are the ways I'm aware of.

I use Roku Streaming Stick to mirror my Lumia Icon screen, it works quite well.

Your Samsung smart TV likely has Miracast if it was built in the last 2 or 3 years, bit I think Samsung calls it something else.

EDIT: Samsung calls it AllShare and the Icon does support Miracast.

DLNA is another option if you just want to share audio, video or images.

I synced it to my Roku 3 but it would only show pictures, no YouTube or video

Sheamartin on my phone I just go to setting>>project my screen and my Roku device appears I just press it to connect and it mirrors the phone screen. Don't use the Roku app that only lets you show pictures and music.

I have a 3 month old flagship 65" LG 4K tv, I know it supports this feature (plus about 70 other features my last tv didn't have), I'll have to play with it tonight....

miracast is the way to go, but kind of like bluetooth, is a sloppy standard. All share is what Samsung calls their implementation of miracast that may or may not work with your phone. hell, i have a few miracast devices and only 1 really works all of the time with all of my devices.
