Just finished my ride. Almost 30km in about an hour, slowly getting back in shape.

So my mother in law was involved in a fender-bender the other day. She's fine, but has some physical limitations (present beforehand) that prompted the medical personnel to ship her to a rehab hospital instead of a regular hospital. All is really fine. The reason I'm posting about it here is that it reminds me to never ever ever be too crazy demanding of my spouse! I don't know if I'm coming or going, and since her house is 35 miles from me, running back and forth is a killer! ACK!!!!!!

How annoying. I went to the one place I knew to charge my phone and the whole system is dead.

GRRRR. And for MSFT, "F BOMB!!!"

I wouldn't bother going, but again that's just me. I don't like getting visits when I'm sick or had an accident, and accidents, boy I had plenty of those.

Just to clarify, the charging place was down. My phone is still fine. Also I don't use a windows device.

Oh, how did they pick me for spamming. I hate spam emails. Does someone really think I, or anybody else is dumb enough to actually believe they won 800K $ on a lottery they were never a part of. Come on. And the grammar on this thing, pf. Reminds me of those scam calls you folks in US get all the time.

It's always been bad in the US. There were the gangs in California. Florida had constant shootings. New York city was pretty bad. Chicago, etc...

When you're young you don't pay attention to these things that much. Guns have been an issue in the US for a very long time.

    The whole thing feels Hollywood...

Man being shot four times in his car. Another man tackled and shot point blank. Snipers at a protest really shooting police...

    It's bloody crazy.
The fact that after they shot Castile and put his girlfriend and daughter in the back of the cop car (handcuffed) and "somehow" was given back her phone (after it fell to the pavement when she was handcuffed!) to continue live streaming
from the back of the car just smells really really fishy!

    Can you say Hollywood!
Not to flog a dead horse here, but...

As a first generation immigrant male of color in 'Murica...I'm no longer outraged by this. In fact, this sort of take on us has been standard operating procedure since the founding fathers locked the Brits out so that they didn't have to pay taxes to the Queen anymore.

I'm no longer outraged. I'm long past that. My issue is in this post modern, flash news cycle, hyper short attention span world, i keep seeing the same thing... minority male getting killed by the powers that be, community reacts in outrage, have some marches, politrickians laugh and make no changes, fervor over said high profile killing dies down...rinse and repeat.

While there are folks working hard to make the necessary changes, I'm over the whole "pseudo-outrage". Folks can be mad enough all they want, but until more people across the wider US society really utilize their powers collectively to make sustained change, all we will see is a more numbing and exhausting and repetitive version of this cycle.

Because best believe that the haven't been killing folks where there are no cameras of social media to share it like this for years...
