- Windows AU saga...
1. SP3 - updated itself without any issues.
2. Dell XPS 13 - same result as the SP3
3. Dell Venue 8 Pro - brute force method, media creation tool and 30 minutes later, up and running.
4. Toshiba Satellite U2505 - 6 year old laptop, took a few regular updates and then using the Learn More link in the Update menu, and forcing the AU update, about three hours later, up and running as well.
5. My Acer Aspire Netbook - I haven't updated that one yet.
So far I haven't had any major issues that people are describing on the various forums and I haven't had to resort to some of the gimmicks that I had to last year when I first updated the Acer Aspire to Windows 10.- Share

As to the camera, the tweaks made together with Leica makes a difference. It subjectively shoots better than my iPhone 6.
The LTE performance is better than my iPhone too, but I guess in this area everything else is better than the iPhone.- Share

- There are some things i miss from the Honor 6 like the remote control, magnifying glass, mirror... But that could be due to the Android version.

How's the low light performance? I've seen stuff where the G5 wins. If that's the case, I'd pick that...but if the performance is decent enough I may try for the Honor 8 on discount...

- And oh I forgot a few things:
- sound quality is pretty good and has lots of power for my IEMs.
- it can bloody charge the AM180 noise cancelling IEM
It doesn't have NFC (not a big deal) nor ANT+ (big deal) on the other hand.- Share

- I did a quick check on the specs and that thing is a P9 sans the brushed body. Same camera configuration, same sensor but don't know if same camera lens specified by Leica. It has the knuckle gestures, multifunction fingerprint sensor, NFC.

- The Windows Insider issue with my phone sorted itself yesterday. The V and 8S are supposed to go my officemates specifically for Viber. The V lost its capability to use the SIM with the 8S decides to reboot, reboot, reboot...

- I think so too. It bests the Mi 5 in the following ways:
1) Full US band support
2) Micro SD card slot
3) Camera, especially in low light
It's a wash between Honor 8 and Mi 5 apparently in terms of size, panel, design, silicon and software. I still think the G5 is the better fit for me because of the camera and that LG will be good in terms of software updates, but man...the Chinese experience is impressive. This made me wish that if the G5 went with a smaller res screen the battery life would be better. Infinitely so, even on a 2800mah cell.
If I didn't have a Mi 5, I'd get this Honor 8... instantly. But as it stands...I'm in the fence. I think the 950 is better than the Mi 5 camera wise, but may lose to both the G5 and P9/Honor 8 slightly. So if i can get a 950 on the cheap, I'll hold onto the Mi 5.
Man, what a year to have $400 to spend! Choices are tremendous. Even the Idol 4 on Cricket for $200 is a great deal...

So I'm not complaining either. My guess is I'll hold onto the Mi 5 and troll for a 950, unless I can get a G5 for $325...as in either the US model with all the carrier bands here, or the bootloader unlocked model.

- The 950 is still too expensive here, and i'd like to avoid another Lumia. If i go crazy this weekend i might end up with a Jade which will cost me around $500.
