Flashing ROMs, provided you can read correctly and follow instructions precisely (something a scientist like yourself shouldn't have problems doing) is virtually noob proof for many Nexus line ROMs because of so much development. As an Android secondary user, custom ROMs are great. In fact my Z Ultra is the first Android I haven't rooted and run a custom ROM on in years because of the caveat of losing LTE speeds on my model (that wouldn't happen with the Nexus 5). It does give you more options and the ability to remove an OEM skin.

I flashed my Windows Mobile devices many times. But sometimes I got unstable or slow ones.

I want my phone functioning and not wasting too much time on it. This is my greatest fear.

Quite the international collection you have there.

From what little information that is going around all you need to do is change the regional settings but I'm not confident about that.

It's really not that easy....like how I can't get the BING features in my 1020 by changing the regional settings....I think but that would help if it were possible

Yes i slept too much in fact....i went out in the rain yesterday....it was raining mud because of all the sand in the air....bought KFC(don't like it personally) and then ran off to home I guess my mother has jaundice....she is all yellow and has fever too...so gonna go to the hospital

Always read the reviews first...but then again you have the R&D method yo get a good ROM

Oooohhhhh cortana <3 so my 920 is australian, my 8x is british and 1020 is an arab.... lol maybe we can flash the US rom to get cortana

My 925 is Malay and my 8X is British. Unless Cortana is going to get me a raise, I don't see this as an essential feature for me.

Nadia is right here. Just do your research and you should be fine. Depending on your device, you will get either Stock ROMs or ROMs based on the OEM skin tweaked for speed, performance and less OEM bloat.

Well... I am excited to get the developer update to WP 8.1 on my 520! i might to a YouTube video on the update, but ill do that once i get the three videos i have been promising for the past week and a half...

I had absolutely no idea you had an 8x or 920... Until i read your post a few pages back.

Well, i guess HTC is somewhat slow to get updates, then again my fathers 520 got GDR3 two weeks after mine did and i got the Lumia Black firmware a month after his...
