I'll show you what I mean. Two pictures taken approximately in the same position. I may have been about 10m apart. I'm not sure but the difference is pretty obvious.

I'm sure there's an explanation.

Not my best pictures. No editing.

First one is 16:9 second is 4:3.

So some more pics of Paris

We went to the National Middle Ages Museum. It was free while they did some renovation of their main attraction which is a series of tapestries. But they have a Roman bath house located in the bottom that you can explore.

And lastly because I find these things interesting. Note the building on the right side at the top. There's a few of these facade buildings about but in some cases people live in these thin buildings.

Also realised something about the camera.

In 16:9 the image is zoomed in more than if the setting is 4:3.

I didn't realise this until yesterday when I went to Paris so I probably missed some good pictures at Etretat because of this. I'm not upset by this just annoyed.

That's quirky! The photos you shared have been very nice, so I wouldn't have realized (until the example images you shared). That's unfortunate that Sony chose to do that.

So the fruiting season has ended in the farm. No more durians, no more lanczones (locally called langsat) ... it was a long three months of hard work.
Now its back to maintenance ie pruning, weeding, manuring...etc

We don't have any farmhands, we do everything ourselves, ie, just me, my missus & her brother. This would be a temp situation.
Our priority would be clearing more access roads/path. Figuring the best site for a small house, and building several huts both for rest stops and using the roof to harvest rainwater.
And hiring workers cos it's way to tough without helpers or any form of mechanisation.

Been buying a bunch of extras for the hike on Saturday.
Microspikes - there is about 100 ft of ice on the trail.
Water filtration - don't want to carry too much water
Energy gel, energy chews, hydration tabs - again reduce weight
Definitely a new backpack since extra weight for layered clothing
Red LED headlamp - going to start the hike at 2AM
Liner socks - no blisters please
Extra moleskin - my ankles are still blistered from San Jacinto

A few extra things might pop up by Thursday night.

So, Mr. Clue, our teams are 0-4. Maybe they traded the Dolphins defense for future considerations? Meanwhile, in Duvall County, it's another scene of the star DB in a contract year yelling at the head coach. I know Ramsey doesn't like losing, but if he keeps it up, he's not playing for us next year - no matter how talented he is. The Giants look like giants ant eaters.

At least Lamar Jackson looks great. And the Bucs are a .500 team. Carolina looks lost and Drew Brees is hurt. And if the Jets win tomorrow night, Laura might be saying "same old Browns". Hell of a start to the season, eh?
It’s tough to be a fan in the 305 these days. Not only are the Marlins headed for their worst season ever, the ‘Phins are in full fustercluck-mode after trading last year’s #1 pick to the Steelers. Not counting the failed Chicago experiment, now I have to look forward to a Heat team without D-Wade (for real this time). The U has the craziest turnover chain going but you don’t get points for turnovers, just a 1-2 start. The site for the proposed stadium David Beckham is getting is a geological mess, I’m running out of sports to follow.

It’s too damned hot down here to think about hockey so.......
