OneDrive App renaming photos upon upload - iOS Photos app upload to onedrive keeps name.

Using my iPhone and the One Drive app. When I upload a photo to my OneDrive account from my iPhone using the One Drive app - the file is renamed from IMG_5336 (as it is on my phone) to something like this - 20160618_170407039_iOS.jpg.

However, when I upload a photo to OneDrive using the built-in photos app it will show up on OneDrive as IMG_5336.

Why does the OneDrive app rename the photos?

Perhaps it renames because it thinks IMG_XXXX is a bad name to use. E.g. first photo taken will be IMG_0001.jpg, second, 0002 etc. Buy a new phone or reset and you get duplicate file names. By naming as the date/time taken it becomes unique. Which is important for file syncing.
