I learned from Nokia's Service Recovery Department today that, per Nokia's contract with AT&T, Nokia can only facilitate a return on a Lumia 900 under warranty once AT&T declines to do so. That is paraphrasing and we didn't go into detail but basically, I had to give AT&T a chance to complete their troubleshooting of my phone and, upon completion, if they wouldn't replace the phone under warranty THEN Nokia could and would.
I am posting this here because it seems that has not been the case in the past. A couple helpful people in these forums suggested I skip AT&T and just get my phone replaced through Nokia. Which I did try, only to find out Nokia can't do that.
Just FYI.
