If they don't sell you one, file a claim for "FALSE ADVERTISEMENT" and get rowdy with a rep and maybe they will even give you some free gear if they don't sell it to you early.

I tried calling my store in Dallas that showed in-stock. They said the site changes to that when inventory comes in and scanned, but they are not selling until tomorrow morning.

LOL! I just called the AT&T store by me and they said they don't know when it's coming in or if it's a special order. :D

I just called our local store and they said they have the Black and White in stock but cannot sell it or put it out before tomorrow.

Are you planning on getting one?

I might!

It has a good off contract price. I might as long as I can get an unlock code.

Stores will have "limited inventory" starting Friday morning. No store will be able to sell or activate a Nokia device for you before Friday -- AT&T systems are on lockdown. If you do buy one early, it will be a brick until Friday anyway.

If I stop by T-MobileUSA Headquarters, what's your office number? :D

Called a couple stores in CT which showed in stock and they had no clue about the phone...

Sounds like the store by me in Chicago. :D

Hah ive been calling all over Chicago for a friend of mine and they have to be some of the most clueless ATT employees in the US.

One lady told me that we wont have them for sale tomorrow but possibly Friday.....

The ones in the Bay Area are all ready to sell WPs. I dropped by a store yesterday and they were sad that they couldn't sell them.

I listened to another salesperson talking to a customer and couldn't believe my ears.

"What computer do you have?"

"A Dell."

"Are you running Windows 8?"

"I am thinking about it."

"Well if you have Windows 8, you'll probably want a Windows Phone. They're designed to work together. We're releasing them on Friday and you're welcome to come and try one out, if you can wait a couple of days. We are very excited about them."

After picking my jaw up off the floor, I walked out.

You should have shook his hand and said thanks or something. The lack of knowledge for Windows phone amazes me, but I can't be too critical because is tech geeks barely even knew about the release dates lol. At least the customer service reps could care to at least acknowledge that Windows phone exist and are pretty good. Especially after tomorrow here in the USA.

The two sales people there told me that they've got a mandate to push people towards the Nokia and HTC devices first, then the newest LG and Samsung Android devices, then the iPhone.

Ralph DeLaVega (I think that's his name), the head of AT&T Wireless stated that AT&T sales reps have been instructucted to ask what kind of computer you have. If you use Windows 8, then they will tell you that you should use Windows Phone.

Sounds like that salesman paid attention in training!

The love affair between Apple and AT&T is definitely over.

I've seen nothing but a positive attitude towards WP8 in all the stores around Atlanta this week. Much better than the launch of WP7.
