Is there a working network toggle app?

I tried this in the lumia 822 forum with no luck. Maybe someone in here can help:

My house has lies in a poor connection area for lte. 3g works great there but when my 822 switches between the 2 it loses all signal for a moment. I use WiFi at home and this wouldn't be a problem, but I have a real hard time with texts not sending. Anyone figure out how to turn off the lte? I was able to download an app to do this on my previous android phone

Settings → mobile network → Highest connection speed

If that option is not there, then Verizon disabled it and no Store app will be able to help you.

Well gee golly gosh darn. My only real complaint on Verizon. Too bad its a big one. Good thing I'm moving within a year

this will be a pisser for me, I'm constantly in low signal areas as I life in BFE and my house is at the edge of their charted 4G from the biggest town near us, but I'm in the woods, so I'm not sure how strong the signal will be. (background info, i'm looking to move over from sprint)
