Windows phone 8 with Australia operators

Hi,
I read some articles from this website, that Nokia often release an update to fix the OS. As far as I know in WP the final update decision is at operator, just wondering is there anyone here use Nokia from Australia operators (e.g. Telstra, Virgin, Vodafone, etc). Are they pass you the update as soon as Nokia release the update for Australia?
Is there anyone here use Virgin Mobile operator?

I have an unbranded phone from the UK (bought from clove) which I current use on Telstra. When updates are pushed out to UK/Euro people that's when I would get my update.

Pretty sure if you have an Australian handset it'll go through the carrier first, then down to you.
