Uhm... I quote:
No word on whether or not the Start Button will be making a comeback (wouldn't hold your breath) but it will be nice to have the option to go straight to the desktop view. Especially for those who prefer the more traditional Windows view.

Where do you get this idea?

Is it possible that the code may have been put in for a server os where live tiles will not be needed?

Don't miss the marble one bit. Not on my laptop or tablet.

It's not wrong to fondle the s pen.

I think MS should do a start sidebar. when you click on the lower left corner it'll come up as a sidebar with the Windows phone layout with tiles. that'll be more easier for power users to be honest

Don't think a tradition start button will return in Blue. Yeah, maybe a button will return, but it will take you back to the Start screen.

that makes even less sense. Drag the mouse like half a centimeter more to the left and that's the same thing you're describing.

These kinds of stories about the Start button returning are a bit disconcerting. Nothing I've read, other than posts like this suggest the return of the start button. And it seems to set users up for thousands of stories from Microsoft hate groups like ZDNet and google.

What we will likely see is a swipe up from the tray to get to your installed apps. If it does or doesn't return, I'll roll with it. But if it doesn't return you cannot comprehend the ModernUI paradigm, pay Stardock for a start button. We know for some, Windows is a really difficult OS.
