So I finally got to upgrade from a Lumia 900 to the 920, it only cost me $175 for a brand new one via Craigslist (score). But now I want to know, what are some of the best WP8 apps and why? All I have is the list of purchases from having WP7 (since Samsung Focus) buy I know there are alot of WP8 only apps that utilize its new abilities.

So if you guys could tell me the best (in your opinion) WP8 apps and WHY they are better, I would appreciate it.

Thanks guys o7

That new personal assistant app Indigo is supposed to be pretty good if you're into that sort of thing... I'm not real big into apps, tbh, but some of the WP8 exclusive games are pretty awesome, like Asphalt 7 or Shark Dash...

Need t really interested in a 3rd party assistant. If it was integrated like siri, maybe, but having to launch an app to use it instead of long press is kinda annoying. But thanks for the suggestion.

Weave News Reader. If you like RSS feeds and want some nice, fun, educational information then that app is great. it's my most used app. the paid version is pretty nice.
Amazing Weather HD. The best weather app ever made. just buy it.
RapDialer Paid is convenient but not mandatory.
UC Browser is the best browser out there and is even faster than IE10
Skype because everyone uses it :)
Facebook (official one, made by Microsoft) because everyone use fb
ProShot, the best camera app ever made
Flixster, for your occasional movie dates.
Skydrive, for cloud sync

I would suggest following:

Collector - Flibboard like experience on Windows Phone
WeatherFlow - I personally think its better than Amazing Weather HD
Skydrive App - Very useful, if you use cloud storage
Facebook App - Official Microsoft version
Twitter App - Official App has improved a lot for WP8
Viber - Excellent app... can be used for both for both voice and text messaging
Skype - Has improved a lot and is widely used
Metrotube - Best youtube experience on Windows Phone
Battery+ - beautiful way to monitor our battery health
Indigo - Get Siri like experience on WP for free
WPCentral - Must have to keep it up with latest happenings in Windows Phone industry
LinkedIn - Great app for professionals
HeyDJ - Voice enabled Music player!
Evernote - Excellent app to keep notes and in sync across various platforms.

How can you all forget Wikipedia? It won the contest AppStar, it is the best app built out there.
Also WhatsApp, Vimeo, SharkScores (real live notifications for football), ProShot (it enables basically the functions of a DSLR on your phone), PDF Reader.
I also use photoplay (similar to instagram), 2013 Formula 1, HandyScan (makes easier to scan receipts).

Ok so far I got proshot(amazing)... Amazing weather HD, Wikipedia, metro tube, imdb, have had WPcentral since release, snes8x, been using SkyDrive (best cloud storage ever), been using Skype, been using tunein radio. Still need to checkout UC browser, not sure if whatsapp is for me, pretty sure I need to add linkedin to my life. So keep uo the recommendations, love them so far guys (and gals?) thanks.
