Toast could be so much better

Recently i've found it very annoying that when i see the toast, read the toast, swipe it to the right, and that notifications is still classified as unread. What's the point in swiping it to the right anyway, it will go away itself in a few seconds. Would be so much better if swyping it would mark that notifications as read.

Whoa its actually correct this way.
What if you receive a long text and you just swipe it off and mark it as read, and what if that text was some critical info?

The person who sent you that assumes you read it and you just swipe it off.

You get my point?

Ok, so i won't swipe it off? :) Many messages and i assume that is the case for most people, are short ones like, "ok, meet you there" and stuff, which i can easily swipe off cause i know that's it, no need for it to stay unread.

Well you do have a point, but people get various kinds of texts, no?
Short, Medium, Large.
Instead of swiping, you can just tap on that toast, will take you to the message itself, you can read or just hit the windows button, what say?

That's too much of a hastle if you think about it, i get the "OK" message, so i need to tap the toast (sometimes double tap cause it ignores my one tap), load the sms, and then back out of it, all while knowing what the text is.
As it is, the swiping to the right has no point but to remove the toast two seconds before it will remove itself..

I wish I could swipe you right now from this thread which has ended peacefully after I signed a pact with the OP.

I dont find any smileys in the post. so think its serious..

I meant to be ON TOPIC.. name suggest how to improve the toasts.. So it is useful idea to utilise the Directions to swipe :P

Any swipe should be mark as read, it's really a no disccusion kind of thing :) On Android i had a pop up bubble on lockscreen, displayed a bit more then toast but still, if i tapped "X" on the bubble it counted as read.
