organizing setting in windows phone

Each setting in the setting menu is like an app and with every system update (firmware or os) some of these apps are re-installed so the reinstalled app,will end up in the bottom of the list
There is no way around this and I hope Microsoft will do something about
However you may try using the voice command to faster get to the setting

I agree that alphabetizing would make the most sense. They could also have the 3-5 most recently used settings appear at the top like they do in the Games Hub (though the quick settings in the Action Center would probably make this pointless).

As for the concept presented by the OP, I think the idea of grouping and drop-down menus could work, but I'm not crazy about how this looks visually. Does the WP8/8.1 SDK have a standard for how drop-down menus are handled, or are drop-downs not part of the design language? I can't think of an example of where one would be present.
