Skype grayed out

during call Skype call option isn't available. i merged contract's account with Skype account and I have Skype app installed

I guess the person who you are talking to has to have Skype installed and running in the background too, as you should be on his/her list of friends also. Maybe he/she needs to be on WiFi too?
