Battery drain from background apps

Hi, my phone battery has been draining quite fast recently, looking in the background apps, internet explorer has been using a lot of battery in the background, so I disabled it.

Looking at it again, the battery usage is insanely high in the background (the bar stretches the width of the screen) and I don't know whats causing it.

I hope someone knows how to remedy this,

Are you on DP or Cyan?

Have you done a soft reset since this started happening?

close all your tabs, turn off the phone for 5-10mins then turn it on again.
Turn on your background task again for IE
Also I turn off IE syncing something like that on my phone.

It is the developers preview that I am using, I've tried the soft resetting and always close my tabs.

I know that there are a lot of battery problems floating around on 8.1, it's the fact that internet explorer is draining the battery so much in the background (while it is disabled) that's stumping me.
