#1 shows on my Windows phone Facebook tile

The #1 recently appeared on the Facebook tile on my HTC Windows phone. What does it mean and how do I get rid of it?

It means you have a notification? You open the app look at the notification and then the #1 should disappear

Thank you for your reply. I have looked at my Facebook notifications but the black circle with the white colored #1 inside is still showing on top of the "f" on the tile. I have turned off the phone and removed the battery to no avail.

It may just need some time to update itself, but try this and see if it helps...

Open the Facebook app, click the "..." on the app bar in the lower right corner to open the settings menu, swipe right to the "notifications" page, change the drop down to "no notifications".

You can either leave it that way permanently or change it back once the notification clears. Personally I leave it off because I think it was interfering with the me tile notifications. Also, it looks stupid with that black circled number in my opinion.

It took me awhile to figure it out but your advice worked! Thank you so much! I agree with you that the black circled number does indeed look dumb.
