10 hours in after beginning update, Spinning Gears.

My Lumia 920 will be taking the day off it seems. I began the 920 update to Black at 20:00 (8:00PM) 1/30/14 Its almost 6:00 am and the gears still spin. I'm not sure what's going on with this update but needless to say, it will be taking the day off so that hopefully, it can finish...if its going to finish.

I think you'll be needing NSU (Nokia Software Updater) There's no reason for gears to be spinning that long. Max 1 hour. You're pretty much going to lose everything on your phone... hope you backed up prior to this.

It should install with Black but if it doesn't your firmware should be without errors and it will install Black.

Its backed up so I'm good there. I just looked in on it and in the words of George Costanza " I think it moved!",. The progress bar gained if only slightly. Worse comes to worse, I'll look into the updater option but I'll leave it sit for now. I have a backup phone I could use at work.

Sorry to hear that. My AT&T 920 installed Black in about 20 minutes, including the download. However, I had just flashed it fresh a few days ago, so there was virtually nothing on it.
