10 people txt limit

Anyway to get past the 10 people txt limit?

I noticed heywire has that 10 people txt limit too. Isn't that a buffer to prevent spam texting? I wouldn't like for someone to have the ability to text a million people some annoying advert. 10 ppl limit would definitely ****** thinks like spam texting
I could be wrong.
