ok. this is weird. last week, I watched age of ultron trailer on my 1020 and the screen turned grey with specs of RGB. that cleared itself up after a few minutes and I thought it might be a one off. last night I tried watching a youtube video via mynokiablog comparing benchmark tests and the same thing happened... but my phone still has a grey / speckled RGB screen everytime I press the power button / when the clock is supposed to appear (then it appears as black with the bottom quarter of the screen grey/speckled).any ideas what to do (p.s. I don't watch porn on my phone / the apps I have are either from micosoft themselves, gamesloft, metrotube, ifruit and gta san andreas.)

This happened to my L1020 at least three times in almost seven months of ownership, if you're referring to the static a TV that has lost reception has but a bit darker grey in color and with spots of color. Perhaps a screenshot (if you can catch it) would help. Also, what Firmware and OS Versions does your phone have? The last time I experienced that was before updating to 8.10.14192.280.

This happened to me while attempting to go onto Netflix.com in browser. In order to fix I had to run the battery down, leave it overnight.

Once the battery was drained, charged it up and the phone starts working again.

Its a pain that this phone does not allow battery removal

I faced this once but I don't remember what exactly I did. Definitely didn't have to run the battery down. Most probably a soft reset will fix.
