Hi. Anybody know if its possible to get high res photos from a 1020 to a 2520 without using a proper pc? Cheers.

Try sharing via Bluetooth, if it takes a lot of time then get a WiFi ftp sharing app (e.g. Pocket file manager) on your phone and access the files if possible. I assume you don't have the 2520 keyboard (no USB ports).

Even if you don't have the keyboard, you can use an OTG micro USB connector and then just use the file explorer. Not sure why that wouldn't work. I can try it out when I get home if you'd like.

(I don't have a 1020. Is there something special about the high-res images that you can't see them when you plug in your phone to a win 8 machine?)

Sorry should have explained. Thinking of getting a 2520 rather than a new laptop but need to be able to transfer files. Was unsure if 1020 will just appear as drive as 2520 has no usb (unless I buy the keyboard). Thanks.

You can just get a cable as stated above, and it mounts it so you can drag/drop said files. I haven't tried raw files on my 2520 yet, but the 38mpx jpgs work fine. You WILL run out of space unless you have a nice big MicroSD card and use it for all document and file storage.

Raw files works fine and can be viewed, have not found any way of editing them though...

Thanks all, that is really helpful. Appreciate you taking the time to answer.
