10536 install failed - phone stuck in loop and will not install successfully

I have downloaded the 10536 build, the phone has restarted, Nokia comes up on the screen and then the cogs indicating system update in progress. After about 1 minute, the phone then displays sad face smiley, then resets and comes back to the Nokia logo then loops indefinitely.

I have tried to hard reset the phone by pressing the down volume button after the startup buzz, but that just causes the phone to restart instead of displaying the ! logo to go to the next step.

The problem with saying we need to use the Recovery Tool, is that the phone never reaches a state that the Recovery Tool can detect and re-flash the phone. As the OP explained, the phone boots into the Win10 install process, but then either displays a sad smiley and reboots, or just powers off with no message whatsoever.
