Hi,
[START OF MY LIFE STORY]
I've bought recently a lumia 625 (it's my first windows phone after many android phones) , so it was working like a charm under windows 8.1 , and then I've decided to update to windows 10 , first time I have choosed the slow insider and i've got the windows 10 10166 and it was very laggy even after resetting the phone , so i've decided to move to the fast insider and tried to update to 10536 but it dosn't work ( download has took more then 12hours , and the preparation for installation has token a long time before that the update get canceled) so i had to move back to windows 8.1 using windows phone recovery tool and then i updated to the 10536 build (after installing a windows 8.1 update ...)
[EOMLS]
i've seen in many videos that this build has fixed the laag that existed in the previous build (10166) and many other bugs especially the windows store ones , that what has pushed me to update , but unfortunately i'm still having almost the same problems (but the phone is usable) , so my question is does the laag comes from my phone or from the build? any one has 625 and tried this update?
when i say laag i mean that sometimes the phone takes long time to respond (for example when i slide down the notification bar , open an application) and the windows phone is slow as hell ...
Thank you

It's a combination of both. The Lumia 625 is an old phone and even when it was released it was nowhere near high-end. Nowadays it's a dinosaur phone. Doesn't mean it's not a good phone at all, just that you can't expect miracles out of its hardware. At the same time, Windows 10 Mobile isn't quite ready for RTM and it's definitely not optimized for old hardware. It runs way better on newer phones because that would be Microsoft's priority. Optimization should come, just be patient. Don't ever expect flawless performance out of your phone though.

Thank you for your answer , so that means that it will never run as good as windows 8.1 on my phone ? the windows 8.1 was working flawless on my phone

Not never. You just have to remember it's a technical preview still and even iOS when it's first released is buggy and laggy as anything (iOS 8 was festering with bugs when it was first released and iOS 9 isn't much better). Give it a few months after release and it'll probably be smoother than Windows Phone 8.1. It's already smoother on optimized hardware like the Lumia 1520.

Ok thanks a lot for your help !

Windows 10 Mobile will be great when it's more polished. It's already very enjoyable to use, there's just a lot of room for improvement.
Have a lovely night,
Zachary

Too early to judge, that's always a BETA. I'm testing on a 520 with a lot of pros and a few cons:devil:, but I appreciate the improvements. Never back to 8.1 !!!!

Yes too many cons but the new look of settings, the toggles in the notifications bar ... make it deserve to keep for now :)
but it still missing some features like:
-usb tethring (4g share through usb) that is a really important feature , sharing connection through wifi is consuming too much battery and is not so safe :/
-a toggle to switch between 2g/3g/4g will be really good ! anyone know an application that can do that faster then going to settings ... or long pressing data mobile toggle...? maybe a tile ?

A cellular data system toggle, interesting mmmh, send a feedback with the Feedback app.
About the looks, if you are a Win 7 / 8 pc user I can understand.... Win10 pc users has got the same looks of the mobile :P

Okey I will :) everyone who's interested too do the same thing please :)
No I'm a windows 10 pc user and I should say it's the best designed OS that microsoft has ever made...^^ and for my phone I prefer to have all the toggles I need in my notification bar instead of 4 , a beautiful categorized settings menu with a search option instead of a very long unsorted menu ...
