10586.122 and MyFordTouch Text Notifications

On my Lumia 830 with 8.1 I liked letting cortana read my text messages aloud as they arrive and there was no syncing of text notifications to my MyFordTouch system in my car. When pairing my Lumia 950 running 10.0.10586.122 to MyFordTouch it asked me to sync phonebook and notifications; but I don't want to sync Notifications, only the Phonebook. Is there a way around this?
