Looks like my Fierce XL downloaded the 10586.164 build last night.

Ha! I just checked mine because of this post and its downloading. Sounds like I'll wake up to a more stable Fierce XL!

If you want more conscious control over updates (and especially if you would like to read what the update is about before installing it):

Settings > Update & Security > Phone Update > Advanced options > Choose how updates are installed: <select "Notify to schedule restart">

You won't wake up to a suddenly new version and wonder what happened. You are also in a position to make sure your device won't go into a power hungry reboot/install cycle with inadequate battery.

There should be a toast notification that an update was found and you can proceed manually from there.

That is great info @RumoredNow, thank you. I changed my setting to "Notify".

I feel as though my battery drained more quickly today than previous build.
Previous update (107 I believe) my battery would be about 50% remaining mid day. Today with .164 my battery was at 30% remaining at 1pm. I don't think i used my phone more than usual today, but I will monitor this over the next few days and see what happens.

It does seem more responsive and Im experiencing less force closes than yesterday. Im not sure if these issues were specifically addressed.
