1080 video on L650

Is it theoretically possible to have a firmware update bring 1080 Video recording to L650, as I believe the 212 is capable of doing it.

Or is there other things holding it back.

I've heard it's possible via a hack but wouldn't be recommended to do so. They design phones with quite a lot in mind and even though the 212 and 400 are equivalent, its still different in some ways. But the 212 is actually a faster processor. That's what makes this a weird choice of not having Full HD capture.

what does it currently record in? 720p or less?

It records at a max of 720p. The SD210 and SD212 don't support 1080p capture, this is due to the downgraded Adreno GPU from the SD400. The Adreno 304 in the SD210 and SD212 is basically the same as the Adreno 305 in the SD400, but several features (including 1080p capture) have been disabled.
