10gb OF OTHER STORAGE!!!!

I would like to clear mine up too. It is up to 11 GB. I have not done a hard reset since I got my Lumia 928 in May 2013

Interestingly, My 1520 had like 3 GB of Other. But once I was on the 8.1 preview, and let the Storage Sense app update fully, it went to 0. So it does seem they've fixed the issue.

HOW in the world does anyone get 10GB of Other storage??? I just swapped my SIM from my 925 to my recently-updated-to-8.1 810 this morning to play around with it and saw that its around 800MB. It's more than that in my 920 and around 619MB in my 925. What exactly causes this to get so high?

metalchick - I'm with you on this. Having had my 920 since it was first released I have never had the high Other storage issue that so many are complaining about. I have always had photos set to upload over wifi, etc. that some people thought was the issue. I tend to think that some folks are on the right path here when they are talking about the Other storage being used for heavy media users. I don't do YouTube videos or music streaming on my phone and have never had any problems - hmmmm.

This is ridiculous..0.00bytes free.
I just uninstalled an app and freed 100MB or so, just after 24hrs this happens.
I cant open any streaming vids.
Date time method didn't work.
Shrink storage not opening anymore, and have uninstalled it too. So with 0bytes cant install anything.
Please pose a solution or guide me through the Reset process.
Will i lose my BLACK update if i reset my phone to factory settings ?

We wish we knew! It seems to be an intermittent problem that few people can explain. I have a 920 that I use very little. I bought it a few months ago for a price I couldn't refuse, and I kept it around to be able to experience WP8.1. I've never even put a SIM card in it yet. However, Other storage grew to 15GB. I have no clue how. I very seldom use the browser or take pictures. I installed maybe 5 apps. I had to do a hard reset to get rid of the Other storage. Now Other is hovering around 800MB.

I had this problem too with my HTC 8x where I had over 8GB of other storage. I did a hard reset and my other storage as not been over 600 MB and usually sits around 300 MB. I did the hard reset with gdr3. I think if you already had the other storage issue, the newer updates couldn't fix the problem.
