I have a 1520.3 on US T-Mobile. Broke the screen. Called the Nokia line and Microsoft support took the call. They said it was under warranty and to send it in. Once there, Microsoft said it wasn't under US warranty and they sent it back un touched. Anyone have an idea who's honoring the warranty?

You might have to figure out what country your device came from, I'm assuming somewhere in Latin America, then see if they'll honor it. Though it might be a bit problematic.

Where'd you originally purchase the device from? B&H?

Unfortunately I have no help...but to share what I was told about the same phone...

I got my 1520.3 from B&H as well. After receiving it, I had a chat with Nokia/MS support...gave them the IEMI number and asked about the warranty. The tech advised me it was no longer under warranty, other that what the store offered where purchased.

I remember there being an option to add Square Trade protection plans...~ $70 1-year, $100 2-year...but I skipped it, before thinking to check the warranty. I decided to roll the dice and keep it anyway.

If purchased from B&H it's smart to get the SquareTrade warranty. They'll repair any damages and replace the phone if needed even if it has water damage.

There's a few threads where trying to get warranty service on the 1520.3 is mentioned as failing. However, one does advise that he had his case escalated and they did warranty repairs. However, as mentioned, a broken screen is probably not warrantied damage. Palco is a good option or do the repair yourself (it's actually not that bad as I did one on my 1520.3 recently). Finally, the options of having warranty through a place like Square Trade (I had it through Protect Your Bubble) is a good option. However, I just went through the situation with them and the problem is, they'll most likely want to send you out a replacement and it will be an ATT version. I even begged that they just replace the screen, and they only do repairs in extreme circumstances. This is despite me precisely telling them when signing up that it was an international version and them saying there should be no problem either finding the replacement or cutting a check to purchase the device again.

I had the same problem. I shipped mine off to Palco. They shipped it by in less than a week and it looks good. The only think that annoys me sometimes is the fact that they used the screen from a AT&T 1520, so it has the little AT&T logo at the top.
