I just picked mine up on Sunday. I'd been using an unlocked HTC Surround on T-Mobile for the last 2+ years. Due to new job and constant dropped calls where I live I decided it was time to make a move. I picked up the Lumina 925 on att. I loved the Windows 7.5 phone and I absolutely love the Windows 8 phone. I am a big fan of the Windows eco system in that my contacts and files all sync to Microsoft account. My only concern is I am getting the same amount of bars (3-4) with this phone on Att that I am on the old phone with T-Mobile. I know T-Mobile in my area is not as good as Att. And I talked for about an hour with a friend of mine last night, which is about 50 minutes longer than I was getting before, and she did not hear any static or echoing. Before there would be times people would call me and the phone wouldn?t ring. It wasn?t until I heard the voicemail that I realized I had a call.
So I guess my question is for anyone with this phone and ATT. Have you found that even with 3-4 bars the service is still good.?

Thank you for joining WPCentral and getting a 925! 😃

And depending if the network is crowded or not, speed can vary. I'm usually on H+ in a mildly populated city, so it's alright.

At 3 bars I've found that it's pretty good.

At 2 bars it's pretty spotty.

At 1 bar I'm afraid to move at all in fear of losing the signal.

I have this phone with t-mobile and agree with Reflexx .... Maybe the reason your other phone had that issue was because it wasn't an official tmobile phone... but who knows...
